Kerry Schroeder

Kerry Schroeder's work is based on the idea that life and nature are always becoming—continually reorganizing, responding, emerging, dissolving, and finding their way forward. She turns to nature as her visual language because it mirrors this same process, blending gestural brushstrokes and spontaneous marks with representational forms, existing in the space between the tangible and the abstract. Schroeder received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tulsa University, with an emphasis in Art History.

I'm drawn to the unseen rhythms of life. My paintings are an attempt to make these rhythms tangible: captured moments where something is revealed and, briefly, known.
